    Post from Raiders Inc. BBS to Thunderbolt BBS was a success, however, when I JJ>tried to reply to that message from Thunderbolt BBS (here), it says Unknown JJ>user and prompts me back to the reading prompt. Hopefully this message make JJ>its way home.

    With all the stress I'm under outside the BBS, with dealing with the finances, etc. for my Mom, now in a nursing home, I'm surprised my BBS
    is working properly.

    I guess the BBS, or lack there of hasn't been affected from withdrawl (yet?).
    I hope you'll be able to keep your system going. I've been able to connect
    to your system just fine without any hassle either. Pardon my multiple connections. It could have been prevented with actually e-mailing you first
    on parts of our FTN connection. I'll be praying for you mum. Pray for mine too. She's currently under Hospice. I'm just hoping she's got a few more
    good years so I can spend it with her. With work and my busy schedule, I
    wish I could see her every day. Lack of transportation interferes as well.

    Well, at least Windows 7 hasn't crashed (BSOD), but I get a lot of
    "Windows Explorer has crashed" errors...especially when I'm using a web
    browser (it did it with both Google Chrome and Opera), and have several
    windows open. I guess I don't have enough RAM (I thought 4 Gigabytes was enough). But, once I "logoff" (without a full reboot), I can reload
    everything.

    I hope you'll be able to keep your system going. I've been able to connect C>to your system just fine without any hassle either. Pardon my multiple C>connections.     Her dementia and the confusion have been increasing by the day. She
    still knows who I am, and has some cognizance of her surroundings. But,
    if she gets to the point that she doesn't know either me or where she
    is, then it's a matter of days.

    But, you get to a point when "you have more days behind you, than
    ahead of you".

    As for the BBS, if the NAM model verifies (it is the coldest, and the
    most consistent), central Arkansas could have a bad ice storm, with
    significant snow to our north. The ice storm raises the threat of power
    and internet outages. I hope to post an update, or send a netmail
    tomorrow evening on this, after I look at the afternoon model data. It
    is a nightmare (to put it mildly) to forecast winter weather in
    Arkansas.
