I have to wait until we get an extended dry spell. I have a bunch of
ivy in the yard, and around the house, that I need to drown in spray.
But, it's too wet to spray that now.
... What do you think management's real interests are?
They're for the fat cats...p!$$ on the employees.
Yep. ;)
Years ago, there was a textile business in New England, run by a
Jewish man, who felt having an exhorbitant salary was a bad example.
Well, the insurance company determined it "an act of God", and they quickly approved the claim...and rebuilding began quickly. Yet, during
the downtime, he kept paying the employees. When the factory reopened
in April, the employees were ready to kiss his feet, as it were. He was there when they needed him...now, they were ready to return the favor.
I think the only way one left the job was via retirement or death (and
I doubt he required 2 weeks notice of the latter <G>).
Today was perfect to spray, but I wanted to get the lawns done. Monday looks promising though.
Yeah, some people really are genuinely generous, and that kind of boss
is usually rewarded with loyal and happy workers and a decent profiy.

And, sadly, there are too few of those today.

In time, I'm sure you will.

I dread what the charge will be. I also have to get repair work done
on the plumbing where field rats got into the place. I haven't seen a
sign of them in several weeks...but with recovering from surgery, any housework has to wait.

Well, it's in the bedroom, but I'm the one getting screwed. :P
Yeah, I need to get some trees pruned, but might have a way around
that.

I need to find a gardener/landscaper, etc. to come in and spray to
kill all the ivy in the yard. But, it has been such a wet spring, and
that spray works better after it has been dry for awhile.
My late wife and I were "Married With Modem"...and if I was ahead of
her in the doorgames we played, it was "none for me tonight". <G> But, with the games, it was "the luck of the draw". Yet, if I can't beat the games on the BBS, I surely can't win in the casinos.
Yeah I need someone who can prune some trees here. :/
Haha, I never had games, but I did introduce my first partner to
computers and the Internet, not so much BBSing through.

Too bad pouring prune juice on them won't do the job. Hmmm...could
make a tagline out of that. <G>
I installed some new ones earlier, but am just doing the QWK Mail
this morning. I've got some friends coming by with some prescriptions
for me, since I can't drive for another week.

Diarrhea is hereditary...in runs in your jeans. :P
Well, I was able to drive yesterday, as I wasn't groggy...and was
able to get the medicines, and the waiting mail. My yard man is working
in the yard now, and after I finish the BBS mail, I'm going to run a
few errands today. I'm going to wear that girdle/binder, received after the hernia surgery, nonstop, except for when I sleep or shower.

But, I'd rather have diarrhea than vomiting any day...especially in
the aftermath of hernia surgery. I surely don't want to undo it.

It's about darn time, too.

To the insurance companies, it's a catastrophe if they have to pay a claim. I saw a story where a guy was in the hospital, and ICU, for
nearly a month, due to COVID-19. The bill was over a million dollars,
but the way the insurance is set up, he may not have to pay much of it
at all.
Don't get me started, the US health system just looks bizarre to much
of the world, where universal healthcare is the norm. Sure, it's not perfect, but for many of us, it gets the job done.
Yeah, I need to get some trees pruned, but might have a way around

If they could just do that with the taxes...a flat rate for national, state, county, and local taxes...and that's it.

I read of his cousin Winston. <G>

I need to get some trees. We have a Valencia orange tree and a broken
down peach tree in the back yard. Oh, there seems to be an old rose
bush that has sprouted leaves this spring..
