Got an IP this morning, now to figure out how to route the thing on my home network. Complete newb when it comes to that, but that's part of the fun.

Glad to be here, and good to know I set his net up correctly on the first try. Guess I'm getting the hang of it now. Also got my first ever Fidonet node number setup a few days ago, of course I had to pick up the amater radio
    echos.

I think when things slow down again going to get back on studying for my General Class license.

Feeling a little burned out today, after working on so many of my projects at once, on top of so many Ghostbusters related events in a row since last Saturday. It's fun dressing in costume, but it can be hard work standing for hours and posing for photos. We don't get paid, Sony lets us do this as long as we only accept money for charities we support.

I recently set mine up, so I may be able to help, if you're using Linux.

Good excuse to fire up the VK_STUDY echo. ;)

You have been busy, bit like me. :) Had a 400k round trip to a hamfest, and then followed that up with a function back here. *whew*. ;)

Not entirely sure how I'm going to set it up yet, maybe Linux. Thought about trying it on a Pi,
but might have to get another Pi then. LOL

    Indeed

Absolutely, that's what I was thinking.

Yep. Took some time this weekend to step away from all of my projects and stuff,
    got really close to burnout.

I have a good balance. So what counteracts my IT tinkering? Well, competitive sport, of course! :D Now that it's winter, I'm running short cross country events, though those are just effectively training runs. The serious stuff comes when track and field season starts and I can run the sprints. :) I do train sprints all year round though, at my age, taking a break is not an option. ;)

I need to start spending more time outdoors, it just gets so darn hot and humid here
especially this time of year, since it's summer here. Florida can get as hot as they say,
whoever they are. Although Jacksonville does experience winter, it's just not as cold as
actual cold places. People here don't even know how to handle the cold weather we do get.

One winter, it actually snowed, people here didn't know how to deal with it, neither did the city.

We get the heat, but not the humidity. Us sprinters tend to fare better in the heat, makes it easier to keep warm. My enemy is the cold, which in extreme circumstances can limit my performance. A couple of weeks ago, I had to abandon a training session, because the wind chill was taking away too much heat and the risk of injury became quite high. I did manage to quit before anything bad actually happened. Next night, in colder, but calm conditions that had much less wind chill, I made up for the previous slow day.

One winter, it actually snowed, people here didn't know how to deal

It doesn't snow here, but an hour's drive south they get snow at least once most years, due to altitude (500-1000m ASL, compared to 230m here). There was a bit of snow down there on that cold day 2 weeks ago.

Cold weather suits distance runners better, I generally do handle distance on cold days, keeping warm isn't a problem in that situation! :) These days, I rarely run longer than 3km in one go. This is to prevent adaptations that impact on my speed. I heard the other day that Usain Bolt doesn't run longer than a mile. Sounds like my summer training. :)
