Partially related to the subject, this guy has took to living in a popup trailer, full-time. I've been following him for a while. Not exactly living off the land but HEY, damn close.

I have friends who quit their jobs as engineers, sold their house and most of their stuff, bought a van and kitted it out with everything they need to live on, and space for their fleet of bikes. They travel the country mountain
biking all the great spots and trails. They bring in money doing odd jobs and mtb classes occasionally. They have been out for about a year and are having the time of their lives. It can be done.

Old post, but the "Vanlifers" are going strong. have a job that allows you to work remotely, kit out a cargo van for cheap, work on the road, and if you're attractive, set up a YouTube channel and instagram feed as an "influencer".

There's even people living in Toyota Priuses traveling around and working!

If I were single, in my twenties, and paying exorbitant amounts of money on rent, I'd consider doing the same.
