    Hey anyone have any good plans to build a 2meter 440 mhz outside
    antenna. Nothing to big as I have limited space oh about the size of a
    outside apartment patio. Let me know please

    What did you end up doing for your antenna? I built a full-wavelength J-pole out of copper and it works really well.. But it cost me around $100 to build. If you make a "roll up J-pole" out of wire, you can hang it from the roof of your patio and get some pretty good performance. Another option is to buy an omni antenna.. Home Depot has a TRAM that is pretty decent and costs $70.
