From Orbitman@9:91/8 to All on Wed Nov 14 16:00:08 2018
I run a stream off this very server (Orbit BBS) for my wife to listen to
while at work. I use IceCast for the server and Darkice for the encoder.
It's all on a linux machine but works perfectly. I feed the line in on the server soundcard with the source. I have it limited to 5 connections so it doesn't overload my slow upload speed (2 megabits) and I don't run it all the time, only while the wife's at work.

I use PlayItLive software (it's free) for the music playout. Dropped a few liners/sweepers in the mix so it sounds more like a real radio station ;)

    Thanks!

We should come up with a directory of shoutcast servers we're running.

Heh....yeah, we could. Mine only runs during the day for my wife to use at work. I listen in as well to monitor things and make sure everything is
    working as it should.

Here's the address to my stream: http://orbitbbs.ddns.net:8000/listen if you want to take a listen during the day. It runs from around 7am to around
    5:30pm CST (regular business hours).

    Thanks!

Thanks for the info on this, might look into doing the same.

Nice, free is about the only software I'm interested in.
