Big "HI!" to the Survnet from the BlackICE BBS.

I want to introduce the BlackICE BBS from Germany in a few lines.
The BBS starts 08/2013 as a "see what happend fun project" and is still
online. I run a BBS in the middle 90s with hmm more bad success as good success. About 20 Years later i search for some boards and found the
Afterhours BBS (regards to greg on this point) and perform my first telnet
bbs connection. And i was hooked (again). I try some software and finaly i choose mystic bbs as the right software to start the fun-project and reopend
a BBS.

I was absolutly suprised that a german bbs grow so fast and get so many users in a time where the internet and the www painting the image of digital communication. in the first weeks the BlackICE was called from serveral users from around the world. and many of them are calling every week and yes every day.

Some fileareas are in controll from users. those fileadmins checking new uploads bringing new binary-stuff to the board. new and old files. looking
for a manual of a 1981 IBM system? no problem we have it on board. looking
for music? free mp3? no problem we have it on the board. And many many more!

As a sysop i do what i do in the past and starting modding the bbs. not so
much the look and feel but what the system offering to the users.

did you know a BBS where u can read tweets from several twitteraccounts? No? Call the BlackICE and check out the Newscenter. There you can find more as 60 Newsfeeds grabbed from the web, rebuild to display in nice textformat for the BBS.

You want to look at the Eiffel Tower in Paris? No Problem! The Newscenter
holds current live-picture from webcams all around the world. And the
BlackICE User can download these images. (In ZOC-Terminal a seperate windows opens and shows the image by downloading)

Weatherinfos, Stock Exchange, Bitcoin Values, Weather Warnings, Enviroments Infos (like Radiactivity, Geomagnetic Storms, O� Maps, Earthquakes and more), TV-Guide (German Only) and very much much more can be found in the
Newscenter, the Heart of BlackICE BBS.

The BlackICE BBS is still a BBS with Oldschool feeling but we put some
features of the Internet into the Board to give our users a good feeling and much infos from around the world.

And it is not only one Person (Sysop) is administrating the board. Most Areas have a user you can ask, kindding and flame if you want ;P

Just have a look around, we welcome all people from around the world. The BlackICE BBS can be used in english and german (english is default).

We also have scheduled chat-actions. Just follow @BlackICEBBS on twitter to
get the newest infos.

next month i will test how to receive weather data via sat with a default sat-receiver for a PC. and of course, i keep the survnet up to date ;)

Cool, I have a few different sat-receivers here.. but none for the PC. I do remember look at some for the computer on the internet a few years ago.
