WORCESTER - With 6 to 10 inches of snow expected Monday, the National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a winter storm warning from 4 a.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday across a large portion of Rhode Island and Eastern
Massachusetts, including the Worcester area.
Snow is expected to become heavy at times after 8 a.m. Monday and continue
into the early afternoon, with intensity diminishing in mid-afternoon. Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are forecast.
The National Weather Service issues a winter storm warning when an average of
6 or more inches of snow may accumulate over a 12-hour period, or eight or
more inches over 24 hours.
