I listen to several Internet Podcasts. I don't feel like posting a long message right now, so I'll just post links for a few podcasts that might
    be worth listening too:

Rob Kirby on Greg Hunters Podcast:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKaFsLM-0kU

Steve Pieczenik on Alex Jones Inforwars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI5IM4J4BQs

Pieczenik Interview starts at about 1:10 into the show.

Joel Skousen was on recently, too -- always a sobering percpective. I bought "Strategic Relocations" a few months back, it's a helpful guide for retirement, too.

My wife and I were thinking about renting while we have kids in the house and buying a small house out in the country somewhere as a rental/investment property. Get a 1 or 2 bedroom place on a single floor plan and then once the kids move out, move into the small house. Want a place with a more reasonable cost of living, proximity to medical care, a friendlier culture, and all of the things that make living in a smaller town attractive.

Of course, we blew that plan by falling in love with a house out by the beach ona split-level plan, and bought it. :)

I completely understand that. I could kick myself in the butt for not moving back to Pensacola when I had the chance. I live out in the county in a secure little area with access to clean water and I have the now-how to live on the wild plants. I keep hoping that all will be well..

Oh .. Yeah.. I like Skousen too.. I've listened to many of his interviews. But since I had that damned stroke and lost my ability to make a decent wage I've been sucking on the government tit..getting by on social security and stuck
in Indiana.. it ain't much but it pays the bills so long as I live like a pauper.

Great plan! I just moved from a big city to a small town 2 months ago. I love everything about this town. People are wonderful here.

Yea, but a way smaller one. People here are slowed-down; back in ABQ it
seemed like everyone was drinking too much coffee, in way too much of a
hurry, getting offended too easily, trying to pick fights with me, and, well, you know how it is there. It's a little too hectic for me.

Here, people are using turn signals, they let you over when you're merging, they're obeying speed limits, their not gunning people down on the freeway, it's just a huge breath of fresh air for me.

heh I guess thats all part of maybe where you where here, never really had
much an issue since moving here. Violence sure but its inevidable where-ever you go just down to a degree. My size prob prevents folks from tempering
    with me much also.

Dude, do you live in Sandia Peak or something? LOL I now know for a fact that you don't pay attention to the local news, but good for you, trust me, DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE LOCAL NEWS! It will SICKEN you!

I'm like 6'4". How much bigger can you possibly be? I'm white. Maybe that was my problem all along. LOL

ABQ is a wonderful, interesting, and fun place to live. Whatever you're
doing, keep up the good work, because I was having a terrible time there, but it's probably all in my head.

And come to think of it... I was on the state's medical marijuana program,
and I LOVED THAT!!! Now I'm scrounging around here for my favorite strains,
the illegal way, and that kinda blows! LOL
