• Hamas Israeli War

If someone poked you in the eye with a large stick, would you allow that eye poking son of a twitch get their stick sharpened and poke you again and again? No, you would take that punk out, making them not be able to poke anyone in the eye from ever again. You wouldn't stop countering that eye poker against their evil. If you were prevented from taking the eye poker out that poker would continue on poking people. If you took that stick away from the criminal and made sure that there were no sticks around the poking person so they couldn't just re-arm, you would be in a very good spot in comparison to the other possibility of being beside a hater with a large stick.

In this Hamas is the ass with the big sticks. Israel is the victim getting poked with the sticks. And the situation is what's going on right now with the world government bodies all calling for Israel stopping their pro-active self defense efforts, which by the way the war was NOT caused by Israel but rather the Hamas terrorist organization who raided Israel killing over a thousand innocent victims.

If someone is poking you with a stick are you going to let them continue on with that continually or get rid of the problem so that you can live in peace?

I blame Hamas for this squarely, but the problem with this analogy is no one really has much problem taking Hamas out -- the issue is that in the process of doing this, they're killing a lot of people who aren't Hamas.

And they are doing this because Hamas hides among civilians.

If Israel does nothing, Israelis will live in constant fear, and for good reason, as Hamas will repeat these tactics.

Israel has not done nothing, but in the process has created a lot of ill will, on account of the civilian casualties, especially children. Hamas knows Israel will take a hit on this. And in this sense, Hamas thinks it wins no matter what Israel does. It blackens its reputation, or it shows itself to be weak.

Israel has taken a bite of the shit sandwich. For them, it is out of the question that their citizens will have to live in constant fear. They've chosen the price they're going to pay.

Hamas could get a cease fire by releasing hostages. It could probably end all bombardment of Gaza by turning in the perpetrators of these atrocities, if they haven't "martyred" themselves already.

But Hamas doesn't care about individual civilians.

Because it does not care about individuals.

And it does not care about human life.

And Palestinians will, in the end, pay a bigger price than the kidnapped and murdered Israelis will.

Israel is adamant that this all ends with the complete destruction of Hamas.

Which is, for both the Palestinians and Israelis, for the best.

If you refer to recent incidents and the outcome, yes, no doubt. But history of last 30-50 years in the region is not so black and white.

Israel in such context also comes with some seriously fucked up politics.
