It is absolutely stunning to me how many people are OK taking a therapeutic injection based on a technology that has *never* been successfully used in humans before, with *no* long term studies, for a disease which is only a little more dangerous than a bad flu if you happen to be in a risk category.
I mean, I'll *think* about Novavax when it comes out, and if I was in my 70s I might consider one of the mRNA treatments if I was worried, but come on... The numbers just don't make sense.
I say all that and I'm *in* one of the higher risk categories. We just don't know enough about the long term risks to make me comfortable rolling the dice on my future, with no recourse if it all goes horribly wrong.
