I was watching a piece on TV about Hitler and his dream of a super soldier army. He basically hopped up soldiers of Methamphetamine. This caused
people to have a complete lack of empathy and kept them up for many days at a time. So it had two very attactive features: them being wide-awake and their mental functionality being diminished a lot in terms of empathy (the caring
for other people and the relating to their situations). This was a rather useful drug to be used my the NAZI psychopath ideology. The British tried to find a similar drug that had the good effects without making people
sociopaths and they decided upon Benzedrine which fulfilled their prerequirements of having people retain their compassion while staying wide awake for several nights in a row.
I was touched by how much society would change if people could easily get benzedrine and also meth -- its really some scary stuff.
