I open the news and can't believe my eyes. Is the Federal Army planning to occupy Texas? What the hell is going on? Can anyone explain to me what's going on? Are the feds planning to declare a state of emergency to overturn the election?

I'm from Texas - these towns, Del Rio... Laredo... Big Spring... Eagle Pass - for YEARS they have been where thousands of immigrants pass. And in the past 12 months it has been INSANE - to live there, to see the heads/souls that are coming in... the cities are all around 30,000 - and the immigrants are surpassing that #.

It's insane. They CANNOT comabt it, because there simply isn't the manpower to doso - so they let them in. They get in cars, buses, with family and head north. Happening every. Single. Day. and night...

Lmao, wait, THE NEWS? Didn't you just spend the last gazillion posts making claims about THE NEWS?

Anyway, you have it assbackwards: The moron governer in Texas is defying a federal mandate to take down fucking razor wire and other nonsense they've been using to actively kill people trying to come into the country.

Ah but yes, you're good with this. That's right.

Now a number of GOP dorks in other states have got behind it (including my jackass governer) and are actively calling for civil war. I for one can't wait.

Why does it seem like the states joining in on this are all the
net-negative tax states, receiving more tax revenues from the federal
    government than they receive?

Good luck to Texas running their own social security, medicare, roads
and schools. Hope they do better than their power grid.

Time to read the actual ruling? Nah, that gets in the way.

The SCOTUS did not tell Texas to remove the wire.

It is much more nuanced than that.

Razor wire is better than landmine, which is exactly what I saw on a major European border, along with armed guards, full razor fencing with explosives, attack dogs and more.

Texas and Abbot have the right to do what they have to do.
    SCOTUS likewise.
    Other Governnors as well.

But the illegals are plain and simple illegals, and they are not within their rights to make illegal crossings.

I hear often of folks from Oregon, Northern California, New York and all sorts of places far removed from the NIGHTMARE that is Texas border towns.

I used to roadtrip to Del Rio every Thursday... Carrizo Springs, Big Wells, Eagle's Pass; these are towns that I do business in... Laredo and the ENTIRE corridor from it to McAllen - these locations have been inundated with ILLEGAL immigrants, not for months; but YEARS. It was insane 5 years ago and you couldn't NOT see the human trade there...

But since this administration the border patrol has just given up - not even given up, they are waving them right the hell in. It's wrong.

I can debate, compromise and even AGREE all day long that we can reform our legal immigration processes in America - but whats going on in Texas is illegal, completely unsustainable and 100% not American. Let's change it - let's allow legal immigrants in a way that works, but we cannot force Texas to take the massive hordes of millions of illegals that they've had to for the past 4 years.

So as I said, 5 years ago I visited these areas 1-2 times a week... (I moved to OR a few years ago.) When I recently visited, however, it was INSANELY different - and it's hard to explain to someone who hasn't seen it that *5* years ago you couldn't miss the illegals - today they can't hide them, although they try hard as hell to doso.

    I've got a job, 2 kids, a wife, 2 dogs, a house and a mortgage,
but part of me would love to get a camper and spend time driving
through this country. There's a lot of it I haven't seen, and I'd love
to see some of what's going on firsthand. Drive through some small
towns and actually speak to people instead of reading about it.

They sell most of their high-bearing assets first. Plus, those
people also may have some savings as well.

Haven't checked out most of these resources but I think the
jist of RVing (full-time living in an RV) is pretty low if
there is no more house/mortgage or pre-existing job to manage:

    https://camperreport.com/books-about-full-time-rving/

For me, RVing entails *wanting* to be in touch with people -
how can you avoid people when RVing when the machine might need
repeat repairs, supplies, etc. ? You'll be constantly on
populated roads, i.e., many scenarios where people cannot be
    avoided.

Maybe for a casual trip for a couple of months might be fun,
but cooped up in a small container with changing scenery every
now and then ain't for me.

If you're an attractive 20-something in a van shooting content
in a national park I suppose you could make enough on YouTube to
help finance such a life. Most of the videos seem to feature a bikini
scene or cleavage as the thumbnail.

Heck, if I was in my 20s now, I'd jump at the chance -- when else are

Some cases are funding that is kept secret - whether a trust fund or running as a drug mule, the money comes from somewhere.

The few that truly have figured out an out of thin air are a rare bunch, the rest have a bankroll or bankroller or something they aren't telling you about.

Sometimes that "something" is very very dark indeed. Nasty dark sources of funding.

Tne sometimes it is a special skill - I know a fellow who was happy high up in a boson's chair doing sailboat rigging, wiring and other high stuff. I know another who climbed very high towers to do service.

But then friends came across a gal who let rich guys beat her up and screw here every which way for money, and then would live on that for a while until her next encounter. Nasty business that, and I never met her actually, so it could be half a fabrication.
