• Floppy Emulator

    Anyone have/use one of these Gotek floppy emulators? I just picked one up on the cheap (20$ USD) and plan on installing it in this AMD k2 system I just got.


    The way they work is pretty basic: Creates 100 FAT12 (or whatever you like) partitions on a USB stick. You can then select them and treat them just like a floppy. Floppies are then just images you copy onto the USB stick from another system.

    Also have a Realtek PCI card that should be 100% compatible with some DOS packet drivers I have on the way from China. They are apparently still makign them... cost $4.00 *shipped*, so I got a couple just in case :D

    I have an Amiga 2000 that I am planning to restore and will possibly purchase
    a gotek for it.
