    Hey guys.. is areafix down? recently added to retronet, but my messages to areafix go unanswered...

    Looks to be working fine to me. I sent a test Areafix mail to 80:774/0 and got a response.

    Can you or anybody else guide me to setting up mystic for retronet..? i Got fsxnet working fine with binkp but cant for the life of me get retronet to work

    I've got Mystic up and running.

    In the configure program, under Networking:

    Under the configure for Retronet above (please note ID# depends upon your number of configurations):

    Security

    Everything blank except Security Level is "0"

    Everything is set to "None"

    Password whatever you were given
    Time Out 30

    CRAM-MD5 Yes
    Hide AKAs Yes

    Everything blank except Passive set to "No"

    Now, under a message group, here are some settings, not listing everything.

    QWK Name RTN_COMMODORE
    ECHO Tag RTN_COMMODORE
    File Name rtn_commodore
    Base Type EchoMail
    Net Address 80:774/27 (that is me, use your address)
    Export to 1 node (pointed to retronet)

    It's the same as you did for FSX, except your passwords and node/network details will be different to match Retronet's.
    If you netmail Areafix at 80:774/0 with your assigned areafix password as the subject it should respond no matter what you send in the message body, even
    if it's just an error message. If you're not even getting that, then you
    might want to check your fidopoll/MIS logs and see if it's actually connecting to the host successfully.
