What was your first commodore computer? Mine was only the C64 and to be honest
I never used it much. Great computer though.

Mine was a 64 also, I immediately got into Telecommunications with a Mighty
Mo 300baud modem. I put up my first BBS a CNet 10.0 in November the following year..

I started out on a Vic-20 in April of 1983. Added some memory to it and purchased 'Electric Magazine' BBS software for the C-64 to run on it. I
spent a while converting what needed to be converted over to the Vic so I
could run it on it. I even added Xmodem file transfers to it. I then got a C-64 a year or so later and moved my BBS over to it.

Well, right now just a mouse. I have a mouse but it only works in one direction. I was going to purchase an Amiga mouse but they are way too expensive on ebay.

Everything Commodore related is way to expensive on eBay, that's why I buy
the $50 lease turn in PC's and run emulators.. Got another i3 3.3ghz 500gig
HD 8gigs RAM for $59 and $21 shipping.. Gonna run WinVICE on it and setup a Image BBS 2.0 with it, with hopefully, emulated CMD Super CPU, HD, or 4
FD4000 floppies with JiffyDos. So far Image doesn't mind the SCPU except it sits in a clearing line mode, once I get that running and hooked up to
    Telnet. It's a go...

I emulate pretty much anything on my i5 with 12 gigs ram. Although I do miss real hardware, this will do just fine for now :) I am even running the
latest Mac OS on this thing :)

What was your first commodore computer? Mine was only the C64 and to
be honest I never used it much. Great computer though.

We had little money back then ...
So my father said either a C64 now, ore a C128 later that year.

    Later that year I received a C128D.

I had no idea about computers back then ... connected it, and somehow it did not want to work.
I got a picture but nothing else worked ...
I asked a neighbour, and he looked at it and said it is defective.
It turned out that they mixed up packages in the shop :(
So they exchanged it, and it worked great, and was used very much.

I still have it, and it is still working fine.

In the meantime I snapped up a cheap C128 (better for the 1541 Ultimate, as there is no built in drive.)

    I have also ordered a c64 ultimate ;)

Hi Ricsi, have you gotten your Ultimate 64 yet?? I too just ordered one and
am estimating getting it around May or so.. If you got it what do you think
of it? I just picked up a Swiftlink Clone and a uIEC/SD card to give me a
"Hard Drive" without having to spend $360 on a Rear Admiral Kernal although I have a bad feeling I will probably have one by the end of 2019, if I continue with my programming..

Ah, I can't wait till I get mine.. LOL I'm like a little kid in a candy
store! As for the Rear Admiral Kernal, it's a Lt Kernal Hard Drive Clone. I
had one for about 8 year before it finally died and since getting back
into the Commodore I miss it tremendously because of the DOS it ran, it made programming so much easier.. Built in Renumber, built in Find function, life was good! LOL

Same here. My first computer was a C64. I got mine from a recycling
center for free in 1995 complete with disks, power supply, and a 1541 II disk drive.
Then there was the mystery on how to run it. No one I asked in my area knew
how to run it. It was before the time I was on the internet so there was a
lot of trial and error. Then one of the disks said LOAD"PROGRAM NAME",8 and I was all set.
I got a VIC 20 also around that time.
Then in 2011 I bought a Commodore PET 4016. And in 2014 I got a PET 2001 8K. After all these years the C64 is still going strong.

YES sir! I bought some time ago a C64 mini and still enjoy playing jewels
like "Law of the West", "PSi 5 Trading Co.", "Street Rod" and so...

Love the C64. And using it with a 1541 floddy disk drive was heaven!

Today there is cheap hardware, that turn USB-mouse into a mouse with Atari 9-pin connector. The firware in the small device decides if it should act
like an Amiga mouse or a 1351 for a Commodore 64.

The MouSTer is pretty great.. but at $35 or so, I wouldn't call it cheap.
