    How many of you guys/gals use WinUAE to run your Amiga software? Although I still have my Amiga 2000 (I need to fix the mouse port) I use WinUAE to do a lot. I am thinkiong of running my original Necronomicon BBS with CNet v5.x.

    to do a
    lot. I am thinkiong of running my original Necronomicon BBS with CNet v5.x.

    I'm still running my BBS in WinUAE, awaiting the return of my A2000 in a (hopefully) working state.

    I'm still running my BBS in WinUAE, awaiting the return of my A2000 in a (hopefully) working state.

    Cool, I am going to try and repair my A2000 in the coming year :)

    I don't think the current owner is still working on it. I have sent him several e-mails and he does not respond back. I have v5.07. I had a newer version but I lost my darn bbs license file in a hard drive crash.

    There is a demo of it on Aminet but I think I might be able to find a cracked copy of it on some of the Amiga BBS's that I still frequent.

    I have a WinUAE-derivative setup on my Macbook Air, but I must say I rather prefer the experience of using the actual hardware. I've an A1000 and A2000 '020 at home that fits that bill.

    The Amiga is the system I least like to use under emulation, so complex is
    its architecture. Atari ST emulators seem to be perfect reproducers, but I've never found things that way w/ Amiga emulation.

    Also, you can only see that perfect smooth scroll onscreen with a 15kHz
    display tied to the hardware. A flicker fixer on a real Amiga or Amiga
    running in an emulator does a double-buffer that makes things jerk a little.

    Try uzisuicide.servebbs.org .. It's run on a real Amiga and he has all kinds
    of stuff there.. Best experienced with DCTelnet in WinUAE/Real Amiga

    I have a very nice setup of AmigaOS 3.9 on WinUAE. I run Cnet/3 on it and it runs almost as good as it did on my real Amiga hardware back in the day. I
    will be putting the Amiga BBS online soon for some nostalgic pfile playing
    and whatnot
