Cnet/3 works and has what is needed, why switch? Do you have a second system that you want to do something? Or a system to test on with a virtual machine? I'd think you'd stick with what we all know works
rather than trying to test out lesser knowns unless they are being actively developed or you have another system to experiment with. I
guess that's my maple leaf two cents ;)

Oh yes.. I have .. well lets see..

    2 Raspberry Pi 3b
    3 Laptops
    2 Desktop PC's

So yea. lol .. CNet/3 works excellent.. so I'm probably going to stick with that as my final production BBS system, but I still like to mess around with stuff lol

OK, that's a good reason for playing with other software. This is my main desktop setup under Linux which I setup with Mystic Alpha 31 when it first
got put up on the web page. It worked well enough so I converted over the
main BBS on the Pi. Last weekend I finally got this system setup as a point
off that main BBS. The way it's setup it will take a while for this message
to get out, but it will get out.
I like desktops and the Bodega Bay on my A500 because I can add/remove cards
as needed to test things out which you can't do with Laptops (except USB stuff). In the longer run I plan to get my Amiga back online via a Pi setup
for RS232, I used to run it off Linux machines that way back in the 1990's.
