Anyone out there have a config file that will work with CNet and AMiga OS 4.1FE? I got a PPC config running perfectly on WinUAE.. When I go in and configure CNet with it, there are some issues.. First, bdsocket.library will not load because 4.1 has it's own TCP setup, so telnetd does not work. 2nd if I go into any of the config sections name modems etc.
nothing saves (I got the press enter after each item that is not the issue).. Any ideas?? I've been playing with this now for almost a week trying to get things going. If anyone is running 4.1 and CNet any help would be appreciated...
Also to answer some questions for those who might update their emulators to 4000 PPC machines, the issues I had listed above were solved by doing the following. The config files not saving, Snoopdos told me they would fail when trying to write to them, I unprotected all files and they then could be
written to. The incoming netcalls were solved by changing out the expansion board settings A2065 Commodore Network adapter, changing the network mode to SLIRP +Open ports. There is a way you can udpate the port numbers via the config file, but it didn't seem to work for me. So I just forward my port
6400 to 23 via my router and UAE allows 23 to come in.. bdsocket.library
can't be used because 4.1 has it's own TCP Stack thus rendering bdsocket.library useless.. Wish it could be used because then AmiTCP would handle the port forwarding and it would work better then the way I am jimmy rigging it.. With that said over the past week I have become an expert at installing OS4.1 and installing CNet on it.. So if anyone has any questions I am sure I tried it... LOL
