I just added a Dial-Up port to RoF. Those that can call out with a modem, please give it a try...

    Dial-Up: (931) 494-9100

I had one on my SynchroNet board, and will probably hook it back up later
    on
to all 3 of my boards, but if you are not on copper lines, it will be difficult to get any type of speed, I think the highest anyone connected
    to
me in 3 months was 2400.. It's tough with VOIP lines.. I also am using a
    box
from ObiHai, which allows faxes with no issues at all,, but data was
    really
hard.. Just a bit of a heads up.. I will try to hook up when I find a Term program that I can install.. LOL I am sure I will find one..

I am waiting for someone to give it a try. The bad part about this is,
I do not have a second computer to try it. I can call, hear the modem kick in
and CNet answers, but thats about it. So I will sit and wait to see if it ever gets used. Its not like I ever have all my ports full where that 1 port would be un-used anyways.

Perfect. I believe the way its set up, it should not be an issue. Also, for those who only can call boards with dial-up, then can call in, and then Telnet out to ther boards. If all works like it should.

You know I just discontinued my dial up node on my SynchroNet board, I just picked up a new computer for the CNet and my future Image board and since it has a serial port on it I am going to put the modem back online and when I setup the matrix logon with Mystic I will have a dialup node on all of my boards.. We'll see how it works out.. I will try to call your board tonight.
I am 99% sure I used iodem on one of my computers to test my modem.. I will look for it...

OMG I think this message will get to your BBS way before I get logged in to
the main menu! LOL I am connected at 28.8 but it feels a lot slower... Its working though...

My previous message wasn't a crack at the speed, it was just a bad joke.. It works that is all that matters. After being on Telnet for the past 6 months and
surfing the web with 100meg Download for the past 10 years, I don't know how I
ever dealt with dialup. The main thing is it works and like when I added the dialup node it gives our users something else to use to get in touch. Something
I do with my number is I setup a voice mail message that says if you are getting this message it's because there is something wrong with the BBS, it could be storms rolling through, or a blackout. Leave me a voice mail or a text
message and I will check the BBS to make sure it is ok. Haven't gotten any calls yet on it or texts but it is there.. I use Google Voice as my landline via a ObiHai box. Works great for Fax, although I don't need the Fax Server anymore since I just bought a printer with a built in fax machine. Have fun and
    enjoy.. :)
