    Hello All.

i think it's a great topic. how do you do it?

personally i do not have any backup yet, except copiing between disks.

Kevin Nunn i saw you said that you are ftping from the os2 to a windows
    then to dropbox.

i just found this, didnt tried it yet: http://luckybackup.sourceforge.net/features.html

and i have found rsync for os/2 and openssh, i think i will try this combo
in the close future. or maybe tar what i want into a directory then
    auto-ftp it to somewhere else.

i am looking for an easy solution to back it up to my linux box. :)

    regards,

I use PM Backup Suite I bought from Arca Noae and it seems to work fine though I am using a USB drive. Once I get this new system up and running, I'll set up Peer Networking and try it. I'm about to do a whole bunch of experimenting and learning with the new BBS box.

    Later,

Yes, I have a OS/2 "batch" file (cmd file) that zips up several backups
into separate files (BBS, File Area, Config Files, and my home
directory), affixes the date to the file name and dumps it in a
directory. Then those files get FTP'd to a Win10 box into a dropbox
folder, that is then synced to the cloud. (I do have 2 external USB
drives that I copy my dropbox directory to weekly, one goes in a fire
proof safe, other sits in my desk for quick access).

I loved and used BackMaster I think back in the day, backing up to
tapes, but I don't have the time or patience for that anymore LOL

As you can see I stuck to the old stuff I know, batch files, zip, ftp.
Probably a boring method, but it works and the one time I had to pull
the BBS from a backup, it was quick and easy.
