I'm having an issue with Metronet on my Mystic BBS. Here's what's happening:

I can poll for mail, and I can import it. I can read the messages on my
BBS. But if I reply and/or post a message, the message(s) never seem to get submitted to the hub, because I've looked for them on Titantic and they never made it.

I'm a rookie with echomail. I have Fidonet and I use it all the time with no problems. I also have fsxnet, which I have set to
"Primary" in the "(A) Echomail Addresses Section." (My messages go out fine
    on Fidonet.)

Under "Echomail Nodes" I have Metronet set up with Route Info: 25:*

Under message base settings, for Metronet echo message bases, I'm exporting to: Metronet (25:25/0)

Does this information reveal anything I could be doing wrong?

    Thanks!

So we have to figure out if your messages are getting sent to 25:25/0 or not, and if they are why they are filing.

The usual culprit is a bad or missing packet password.

I'm a rookie with echomail. I have Fidonet and I use it all the time with no problems. I also have fsxnet, which I have set to
"Primary" in the "(A) Echomail Addresses Section." (My messages go out fine on Fidonet.)

They should go out in any network, if that doesn't happen you'll need to check the logs and find out why. If they are going out but failing at the hub you need to find out why too. Ask your link if he sees a problem on his end.

Under "Echomail Nodes" I have Metronet set up with Route Info: 25:*

This is for netmail. Any netmail you write to a 25:* address will be send to this node to forward on.

Under message base settings, for Metronet echo message bases, I'm exporting to: Metronet (25:25/0)

Does this information reveal anything I could be doing wrong?

I can see there is a problem but just what is hard to say. I hope your logs or those of your link 25:25/0 will provide an answer.

Thanks Al. I should have looked at the logs sooner. I forget to do that every time (I'm losin it!)

There was an entry that said "Waiting for BUSY nodes." That made me remember doing this once before: ./mis poll killbusy

I did that again, and it solved the problem, or at least it put a bandaid on it.

What if I run that command every time I poll -ahead of polling- ? Would that
    be a good idea?

Yep, I've seen that. I don't know how or why mystic's mailer gets stuck like that. It hasn't happened to my mystic's mailer for a long time.

I wouldn't. Those busy files serve a purpose. I would just shutdown mis and run "mis poll killbusy [all]" when needed, and then restart mis.

Thanks. I will just do it as needed then.
