    You are remembering correctly.

Cool that happens every now and again.
Now to figure out how to have null modem setup again.

    Null modem? Why?

The modem may be configured "manually" via DB SETUP, also use the "Generic 5 modem template" and edit the MCF file accordingly.

Got to get the fossil emulating on the com port 1st, missing a step in the configs or something. Much love for D'bridge. It runs respectfully slowly on the 486-40. Loving how everthing can be configured.

    Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure what you mean by "it runs slowly", but I strongly recommend you use a disk-cache. D'Bridge does a lot of file access.

If EMS memory is available, you can set the DOS environment variable DBOVREMS to "Y" and D'Bridge will load more of itself into memory - there will be some extra info in the LOG window if it can do this.

You may also try to fine-tune another variable, DBOVRBUFSIZ. The range is 80 to 200. A value of 120 might reduce disk access but at the expense of less memory available for the configuration.

Noticed that, im using a CF card so not a huge deal on the speed of READ/WRITE more notably the animation runs rather slow, not an issue at all.
Pretty sure I can use lbacache with freedos.

I will have to try that.
Still playing with all the configs.

Animations/effects can be disabled in Config-Basic.

I will be publishing a very minor update shortly...
