I know this is an awkward place for a Mystic support question, but I'll try it:

I'm having trouble polling for Metronet mail. I poll for mail, and then poll.log says this:
    1-Skipping file: BE1FFE9A.SA1
    1-Session ended (0 sent, 0 rcvd, 1 skipped)

I don't know what this means.

Does anyone have any advice on that?

    Thanks!

Usually skipping means you have a file with the same exact name in your download directory and it sees it, so skips it. Check and see if you have that file on your drive and delete it if you do. Then it SHOULD work. Perhaps something happened during the 2 second connection and the file got screwed?!?!

Im being a dick - it means Mystic skipped tossing the mail file. :P Now, why? Ummm... have you checked mutil.log and even poll.log? I know you have BE1FFE9A.SA1, but is it POLLING the network correctly?

I just signed up for MetroNet, as I'm simply a fan of RG and Titantic BBS... so hopefully I'll be adding in the next few weeks - if I were you I'd look over all settings, check other logs and ultimately MAYBE delete that BE file and attempt to rescan or at least poll again and get sucessful other tosses. Sorry I'm not REAL help, daddio.

    Cheers, Metro Rockers!

I checked poll.log and it looked like everything was in order. It connected, files were transfered, but then I just didn't know what was up with "Skip." I get it now, that it says "Skip" when there's a duplicate, I just don't know how I ended up with a duplicate, but I'm one step closer to solving that puzzle too.

    Thanks paulie & thanks Exodus!
