And if you do believe me, would you care to venture a guess as to
which piece of software would be capable of doing something that
    unbelievably stupid?

(Hint:  the list of BCC'd addresses appears in a custom header
    X-MS-ExchangeCrossPremises-BCC)

Maybe its a problem of the mailer.

When you say the "mailer", do you mean the e-mail client? Certainly,
the client *could* choose to place a non-standard header disclosing
the list of BCC'd addresses; though given the name of the header
suggests that, if anything, Outlook is working in co-ordination with MS-Exchange.

I have searched my inbox and find none with that header.

I often send mail with a bcc to one of my mailadresses (kmail and postfix), the bcc is in the outbox only, but never in the received mail.

Of course (did you read my ranting about it?). The bug is,
    precisely,
in the "this is simply not possible" category (the fact that it shows
    in
the Outbox, or "Sent" in the case of Thunderbird, is a client-side
"favor" to the user --- you sent it, so you're entitled to know, and
    be
reminded of, who you BCC'd in that message; no breach of privacy
    there).

No-one so far has reported seeing a similar problem in their
    Inboxes...
Curious --- I wonder if this should suggest that we might be talking
about a configuration problem?? (all of the e-mails that I have
exhibiting this problem do come from staff personnel at the
    University
where I'm working/studying right now; that points to a problem with
    the MS-Exchange, or in general the e-mail software in *this network*;
meaning that it could be a configuration problem, or maybe some
custom software / plugins / etc. that they installed and is buggy??)

    Thanks,

    Carlos
