Sometimes it's just easier to keep it packaged in that Black Box. I'm
pretty much for recycling, re-use, etc., but there are limitations:
trusting a re-used HESCO barrier against tons of river water to
protect millions of dollars of property may not be the smartest. Maybe
as a secondary/backup level: the reused barrier supporting the new
barrier. Overall seems safer to strain out the parts of the used
barrier and recycle those materials to make new.
I'm thinking that it would take an expert in the use of the HESCO
barriers to really make that determination... :)
That probably would be a good assessment! The rest of us can come up
with alternate uses which may or may not via viable -- for some reason
'emergency housing' had popped in to my head. Pile around a few HESCO
barriers like so many Lego blocks; no idea on the roof.
A very large tarp....? <G><chuckle> I was thinking that; how supported didn't immediately come
to mind. Though I'm thinking BIG rooms/areas: gymnasium-sized.
Smaller areas would require shorter roof supports which would be easier
to obtain or create.
And with the re-openings of various types there have been spikes in

precautions, social distancing seeming to be the big one.

One can somewhat control social distancing at a grocery store or
restaurant. At a bar/party situation probably not nearly the control:

Always a possibility, although, from memories of earlier times, I

Yes. The other day she was entertaining a white moth. Don't recall
how it start but she had a ~3/4" moth on her finger and it was just
sitting there, quite contented, every so often stretching its wings but
made no attempt to fly off, so no fear on its behalf. "Mr. Moth" got a
tour of the deck in the back yard, placed on a couple of small statues,
stayed on them for a while walking a little, then Autumn put him back
on her finger to continue the tour. Eventually to the front yard, then
returned. Finally she placed him in a potted plant on the deck, in
the shade, Mr. Moth sort of 'looked around' for a minute then crawled
under the flower.
Sounds like she could have a career as an insect "whisperer"... ;)We thought so!
Rather impressive that the moth was willing to go on the whole tour
like that... ;)
Haven't done anything directly with the Burning Bush but looks to be
dead. Not sure what the other shrub/bush is but the leaves look to
be different from what I remember the Burning Bush having, but could
be because has recently budded and not fully leafed out. Need to do
other yard work before cutting out the dead branches.
You'll get to it soon enough... ;)
Yup. Was doing some yard cleanup yesterday and with it greening up
doesn't look as bad. Still needs to be done of course. But First!
A bit at a time... ;)
And today's not its time!
Has it happened yet....? ;)
Uh, no. Too, hot, too rainy, roof repair, taking care of Autumn....
If the dead branches rot won't have to cut!!
One thing after another..... and sometimes procrastination pays off in
the end... <G>
I don't think I'll be waiting until the rotted stage. :) Currently
other yard jobs more important that show.
By the time it gets to that stage, it'll move up higher on theThat's pretty much a certainty!

Large enough, and one could just fasten it down on the tops of
the barriers.... Maybe some tentpoles judiciously placed.... ;)

shall see if that holds or not.... It's usually held the end of
June, and draws major crowds.... :)

Wild and crazy isn't me, either.... if there's a good single malt available, I'll have some, but those are for sipping, not
guzzling... ;)

Almost all of July has been too hot here... we keep having Heat
