    Hi Nancy!

Yup, a little auto-pilot is good, except when the wrong auto-pilot
kicks in.... ;) And too much change-up is stressful, as the mind
never does get a chance to settle in.... ;)
Right. Some auto-piloting is good to take care of the routine but one
does want to live and be aware of that moment.
And not wonder, now just How DID I get here... ;)
Went straight a bit, turned right at what at the time you thought was
your exit, straight, a left, two rights and another left.... <g>
And ended up at the wrong destination... just a very familiar one... ;)
    Guess while I'm here....!
Unless you are late for the proper destination... ;)

Late being better than not at all! Of course some people fail to agree
with that detail, no matter the reason.

    <Buying groceries on-line>
I don't know but would make sense. And of course there's the question
of how much of a substitution? Use the out of Hy-Vee Green Tea from
the previous message as an example. Would I go for a different brand,
or wait until next week when possibly back in stock, or go for a
    variety pack, or....
It's that sort of consideration that makes me figure I might as
well be doing my own shopping... or I might have to make some
sort of a decision ahead of time for each item on the list... <G>
Might as well just go and do it myself... <G>

I'd also just as soon do my own grocery shopping. I can understand
others' reasons as to not do their own shopping, just for me makes more
sense to do my own. Might change my mind if I had had a personal
shopper, or one assigned to me and eventually we trained each other on
my preferences. ...For some reason thinking a bunch of bananas. I have
been going for the cheaper store brand just to save 20-30› per pound.
To me a banana is a banana. There are times when I buy the
shorter/smaller bananas over the regular sized ones because the shorter
ones are more ripe and I would like to start eating them tomorrow
morning. Other times I'll buy a slight green regular-sized bunch
because I have a banana or two still left and so don't need the new ones
right away. Try training a shopper for that decision!

I remember being cheated off of once in school: person in front of me
wanted my paper, I either ignored or said no, went back to doing the
test. Next I know my paper was grabbed by the person in front, I'm
just looking in disbelief - do recall seeing the teacher had seen the
incident and indicating not to worry about it. Whoever in front gave
me the paper back, I just continued the test. Don't recall after that
    - I didn't get in trouble, assume the other person did. Maybe seat
assignment changes - multiple to not make obvious?
At least that sort of thing couldn't be happening with the kids all
doing school from home... ;) Could be that the offender got moved
to a different classroom altogether... or was disciplined outside of
the classroom.... detention, maybe... or being suspended....?
Possibly. Seems more the taken aside and talked to and possibly
detention as I don't recall anybody in class suddenly missing. And I
didn't suddenly get picked on because of the incident.
I guess the kid figured out that he'd been in the wrong and did shape
    up, then... :)
Possibly. LIS, I don't remember anything unusual/different following
I don't even remember avoiding or confronting anyone for the cheating.
Just as well to just let it ride, especially since it didn't
    happen again...

Right. In one way a compliment to want my answers. The cheating never occurred to me again; I don't recall any sort of retaliation by the
person who grabbed my paper, so maybe the teacher's punishment was
    sufficient, or remorse kicked in.....

Yup... and if something was actually totally out, generally had an
idea what to substitute or whether to just not worry about....
I don't know what Hy-Vee's policy is; I'd guess if out not to
substitute but I don't know for sure. I'll take my Green Tea example
form an earlier message. In my case as a customer if I really-really
wanted Green Tea and they were out of the Hy-Vee brand then
substituting Lipton or Twinings would be acceptable. OTOH unless the
Hy-Vee person knew I would be OK with that they probably wouldn't dare.
Calling the customer is an option but probably determined to be an
unnecessary time-taker. (Sometimes one just can't win!)
I've not been the customer, so hard to say what their guidelines would
be... I know that on occasion when I didn't know what the decision
would be, I have called the person I was shopping for to consult...
Perhaps the Hy-Vee shopper would ask if/what substitutions would be
acceptable when getting the list, or there'd be a spot to check off on
    the form...
