... Early to bed and early to rise is first in the bathroom.
Only works when no one is getting up in the middle of the night for
    their bathroom stumbles... <G>

But, being home alone is where you can potty with the door open. :P

We've had an open door policy even when we had the kid at home... ;)
And when I was using a walker while my ankle healed (couldn't put any
weight on it for 10 weeks), Richard took the door clear off so that I
    could get in there... ;)

Yet, with drinking over a half gallon of fluid a day to keep flushed
out, I make several overnight trips to the loo. <G>

Yup, that would do it... ;)

In that regard, you can get in there faster, if they need help.

Better than doing it in the bed...although if one poops in the bed in
the hospital, it's known as a "code brown"...how's that for original??
    :P

That, too... :) The bathroom in question, there would have been no way
that I would have been able to maneuver around the door to the toilet,
as the door opened into the bathroom, bumped into the toilet, and there
wasn't any clearance to speak of between that and the tub across from
the toilet.... without the door in the way, one could just manage it...
