    Nancy,

It really is reminiscent of the Karl Haas programs... :)

The theme he used was the Adagio from the Pathetique Sonata, by Ludwig
Von Beethoven. I used to be able to play that.

In the movie "Snoopy, Come Home", there was a scene where Lucy was
flirting with Schroeder, and she asked him if piano players made a lot
of money. Schroeder replied "Some do...if they practice real hard". She
replied "Keep practicing, kiddo", and gives him a kiss on the nose!!

She then picks up the bust (head statue) of Beethoven on the piano,
and asks "Incidentally, who's this?? George Washington??". Schroeder
is gritting his teeth, banging his fist on the keyboard. <G>

The scene changes, and he goes into that piece noted.

The one I'd love to be able to play is Clair De Lune.

He forgot Beethoven's birthday one year, and when Lucy reminded him,
    he was just crushed!!

I'll bet it was, too. But, there'll never be another comic strip like

I tend to just listen to the classical, but that's my taste... ;) My
youngest sister likes the C-W songs along with classical too, though... :)

True... Fortunately it's been collected and printed, so we can keep
    going back to it... :)
