The last wedding I went to (last fall) was of the niece that cancelled
the previous whirlwind marriage.... the eventual actual groom was a
long-time friend of hers and a much better choice all around... :)

Too bad we get together more often at funerals than weddings...

I'm probably more likely to travel for a wedding rather than a funeral,
though I'm writing this from my sister's where I'm staying having come
down for our aunt's funeral... They both are family occasions...

although some would consider the latter as the former...as
the blooper announcing the wedding of a couple, and lamenting "So ends
a friendship that began in childhood". :P

Depends on the couple, I guess... :)

Pretty much what the reunion committee thought... the classmate that
took on the responsibility might not have minded, but we didn't want to
    push things too much... :)

I don't go to reunions anymore. Too many folks I don't want to be
bothered with, and none of them have my interests. Never mind the
music is too loud, and the food is more than I can handle.

Again it depends on the people... My high school class seems to have
been particularly good, and I've enjoyed the reunions I've been to...
even served on the committees for a number of them... We've tried for
good food, good times, and music that doesn't intrude... Richard's 50th
    was pretty nice too...

This location was an actual bar/restaurant, with a space in back that
had its own bar, probably kept fairly well stocked... when our committee
had lunch there to check out the venue, it appeared to at least be
stocked with the requisite glassware, and the basic inventory... even
though none of us ordered anything alcoholic at all...

A longtime restaurant in Little Rock, Cajun's Wharf, is to shut down
June 1. My 30th high school reunion (from Arkansas) was held there.

Was it a good restaurant over all...?

I didn't eat there all that much. My budget is more like "fast food
pricing". If I do splurge, I like to go to "The Olive Garden"...more so
    than Red Lobster.

We've found some restaurants around here that are better value than the
typical fast food place, when you add up all that it costs to get a full
meal there.... Occasionally it'll be even less expensive than fast food,
rather than merely about the same.... :)

The dogs, of course.... you judge it by how fast they wolf it down, and
whether they'll eat it the second time you put it down for them... <G>

Years ago, in MAD magazine, there was a segment called "The Minute
After". This one commercial shows this dog supposedly eating this "new
and improved" dog food...but the minute after, he's opening the icebox,
and pulling out a steak. <G>
