Saw it fine here with OLX (Offline Express). But, some programs (i.e. MultiMail and Notepad for Windows) won't let you use the high ascii
    characters.

Andy Stewart, who did a bunch of doors years ago (they're now
freeware, but require a small TSR to make them run) also did a program
that will generate the list of high ascii characters, and how to create
them. That has been useful for me, when I create my ANSI bulletins.

I first open up the MS-DOS Editor, and create an ASCII version. Then,
I change or add high ascii characters. Lastly, I add the ANSI color
codes. Not overly fancy, but it works.

We're trying to debug an issue where I was getting some bad packets but only via ILink. We thought it was the high ascii characters but that doesn't seem
to be the case and the last bad packet that I had contained only messages
from Nancy. Rob (Digitalman) looked at the packet and there was a null (^@) value between the packet terminating ^M^M characters so rather than that it looked like ^M^@^M. I removed the null and saved the file and it processed correctly, so really no idea where that came fine.

btw, anyone using vi or vim to edit a packet on a linux system, launch with
-b or use :set binary to set to binary mode then :set noeol
failure to do that and vi will tag a 0x0A on the end and also corrupt the packet :)

Top-quoting as just seems more logical. This one is wrong as used
'degree' and 'cents' characters respectively. The ALT_(0)176 is
supposed to be dotted block character, not an octothorpe.

    Hi Daryl!

    Hi, Barry,

And now we know something else about Daryl in the TMI category!!

Well, sometimes, the medical people make "dumb requests".

A perfect example was the story where this nurse was always "baby
talking" to this gentleman, and he had just about had enough of it.

So, he got an idea of how to deal with her!! He ordered a deal of
Apple Juice, but kept it hidden. When this nurse came in to ask for a
urine sample, she stepped out to let him "do his business". What she
didn't know was that he poured the apple juice (warm by now) into the
    cup.

When she looked at the "specimen", she groaned "Oh!! A little dark!!". Typically, darker urine means you're not getting enough fluid through
    your system.

With that, the man grabbed the specimen deal, and said "That's OK.
I'll run it through again", and drank the liquid.

The nurse fainted dead away. <G>

... Keep Using My Name in Vain And I'll Make Rush Hour Longer - God

Sort of like this outdoor Gospel Concert, and it started raining. This Christian woman singer, said "Now, Lord, please stop the rain. We're
trying to do a concert here". Well, the rain got heavier, and the woman
is basically "using Scripture to tell The Lord that He should stop the
rain". At that point, there was a huge close lightning strike, the rain
was coming down in droves, it started hailing, and a nearby weakened
    earthen dam, burst.

The woman screamed "God's Answer was NO!! Run for your lives!!" <G>

    Hi Daryl!

    Hi, Barry,

hear my name being called for some strawberry cream cheese pie. <G>

    Yum!!

It satisfies the sweet tooth, and isn't overly rich, like cheesecake
    is.

... Help! I'm going through cherry cheesecake withdrawal.

I don't know much about a Raspberry Pi...but a pineapple upside down cheesecake sounds awfully good right now.

    Daryl

I don't think a dropped connection would have done it since the corruption
was a NULL right in the middle of one of several messages in the packet
    which was otherwise complete.

    Hi Daryl!

And now we know something else about Daryl in the TMI category!!
Well, sometimes, the medical people make "dumb requests".
A perfect example was the story where this nurse was always
"baby talking" to this gentleman, and he had just about had
    enough of it.
So, he got an idea of how to deal with her!! He ordered a deal
of Apple Juice, but kept it hidden. When this nurse came in to
ask for a urine sample, she stepped out to let him "do his
business". What she didn't know was that he poured the apple
juice (warm by now) into the cup.
When she looked at the "specimen", she groaned "Oh!! A little
dark!!". Typically, darker urine means you're not getting enough
    fluid through your system.
With that, the man grabbed the specimen deal, and said "That's
OK. I'll run it through again", and drank the liquid.
The nurse fainted dead away. <G>

There's a 'better' one in a lab: <details forgotten but essentially> technician pokes finger in fecal sample, then licks while rest of
staff/class looks on and starts gagging. Trick is to switch fingers!

... Keep Using My Name in Vain And I'll Make Rush Hour Longer - God
Sort of like this outdoor Gospel Concert, and it started
raining. This Christian woman singer, said "Now, Lord, please
stop the rain. We're trying to do a concert here". Well, the rain
got heavier, and the woman is basically "using Scripture to tell
The Lord that He should stop the rain". At that point, there was
a huge close lightning strike, the rain was coming down in
droves, it started hailing, and a nearby weakened earthen dam,
    burst.
The woman screamed "God's Answer was NO!! Run for your lives!!" <G>

Took her a while to get the message!
