On 10/2/2020 3:10 AM, between "Daryl Stout":

What I'm going to do at the Delegates Meeting next Saturday,
via Zoom, emphasize that "I am NOT the Treasurer, and have
NO BUSINESS handling money meant for the organization". I've
created a new reminder card with the renewal form, and the
address of where to mail it. If they still send it back to
me, I'll send it back to them, with a note, saying "Don't
even bother sending any more money... since you can't follow
the directions on the form, your transaction will NOT be
    processed".

Are these payments from square dance members? If so, why not make the announcements during a dance event? Maybe even design a call that gives instructions:

Grab yer partner, doe see doe
I'll tell ya where the cheques should go..

I'm not holding my breath. I told the President and the
Treasurer of the organization that "For several weeks (if
not months), this stuff has been in the publication, on the
websites, on the meeting handouts, and I've even discussed
it at the meetings. But, apparently no one was reading the
info (a waste of time, paper, ink, and money), and not
paying attention to me (a waste of my time and my breath)".

The members are dancers, not readers! LOL.

    2) Health issues. I never know when I'll have a kidney
stone, migraine, or gastroenteritis attack (nausea,
vomiting, diarrhea). Plus, driving or riding in a car for
long distances, causes my legs to spasm...
    [snip]

...Never mind all the crap with COVID-19, and
transportation issues when you travel if you're not driving
    yourself.

Definitely not a good time to plan a trip of any kind by any mode of travel right now.

    3) Should I get a generator or not?? The commercials you see
are very deceptive... that's just the price of the
generator, and NOT including the labor and installation
costs, which can be rather substantial.

How do your neighbor's cope when the power goes out?

Only The Good Lord knows who is going to win the election,
but I pray I'm dead and gone before the bottom falls out.
Some commentators have said that "the last trump" is not
only "the last trumpet before the final series of prophetic
events before The Second Coming Of Christ, are set into
motion"... but that Trump is the last US President before
the bottom falls out on this country.

Lean not on thine own understanding. ;) It is interesting that Trump has now contracted the virus.

I've got insomia from all the stress, so I likely will have
to nap later today. That's why I'm answering BBS mail at
    this hour.

Yep.. 3:10a is pretty early! Hopefully your stress/insomnia is temporary.

I'd rather pay via PayPal or the debit card. My bank has a
Fraud Prevention program, that if a transaction looks
suspicious, I will get a call or a text message, asking me
to verify the transaction. I was the victim of identity
theft several years ago, and have several deals in place to
protect me from it happening again.

I thought debit card was a poorer choice for making payments vs credit card. Debit is treated like cash. Once it is gone out of your account, it's gone. Whereas with credit card the amount is in process for atleast the pay period and can be reversed or challenged more easily.

I was sick much of Tuesday with a migraine sinus headache,
that I could not hold my eyes open. I didn't even get out of
bed until 3pm, and only ate a couple of cheese danish all
day. I'm about to use the last 2 of those, and all I have
left in the house is flavored water. It looks like it's back
to bread and lunch meat sandwiches for another month... if I
    can even afford that.

Instead of bread + lunch meats (empty carbs, sugar + nitrates), try a yam/sweetpotato (they bake beautifully in a microwave) + butter. There is *so* much flavor there, and you'll be eating better. I look for yams that are shorter (6 in max) and have more rounded ends. I cut them in sliced quarters at about 1 to 1.5 inches thick, and peel them with a knife and fork after they are cooked. I'll eat half a yam per meal. The other cooked half can store in the fridge for a few days. Fresh yams store well, and are pretty cheap imho.

That's not the healthiest diet, but right now, I have no
    choice.

Try introducing some healthier choices gradually, and stick to them. A sweet potato is not terribly expensive as part of a dinner for a couple meals per week.

if I can ever get funds to put the BBS in the cloud, I'll
get rid of the high speed internet here, as I can logon via
    a Verizon Mi-Fi. That'd save at least $100 a month, that I
    could use for groceries.

    Hopefully for healthier groceries. ;)

I tend to not like sweet cereals and so stick with shredded
wheat (plain), topped with a generic Grape Nuts and
    raisins - lots of raisins!

I used to eat processed cereals for breakfast too. It wasn't just one serving either. A true serving is what you can hold in the palm of your hand. I would have a decent bowlful + a fruit or two + honey, and feel totally hungry 3 hours later, and look for something to eat again. I thought that was normal! Not good.

Today, an egg + 1/2 avocado + 1/2 banana takes me through the morning for 5 hours before I even *think* of anything else to eat.

I haven't had cereal in ages, and am not a breakfast person.
I love chocolate iced donuts (with a Diet Doctor Pepper),
though. <G> The only time I eat breakfast is if I have an
early morning medical appointment, and had to fast
beforehand... or if I'm doing a morning ham radio license
    exam session.

Cereals are empty carbs. And noone has just the labeled quantity of "1 serving" of that stuff + milk + other add ons.

An egg + avocado + a couple spoons of peanut butter are a better low carbs + protein choice than a bowl of cereal. I have about two servings of unsalted almonds and cashews in the early afternoon - they are fine sources of natural fat energy for the body.

Do some research and find the better natural foods that you can have instead of the processed/packaged stuff.

    August,

    gives instructions:

Yes, they are. I did amateur calling several years ago, and it's not
    as easy as it looks.

The members are dancers, not readers! LOL.

It would seem that way. It was as if "why don't you shut up, and
adjourn the meeting, so we can get back to dancing??".

Definitely not a good time to plan a trip of any kind by any mode of travel right now.

That's why I've basically given up on travel outside of central Arkansas.

How do your neighbor's cope when the power goes out?

I have no clue. Depending on the time of year, I can put on more covers
if it gets too cool. But, the refrigerator/freezer can't be without power
for long periods of time, or the food goes bad.

Lean not on thine own understanding. ;) It is interesting that Trump
    has now contracted the virus.

It has really messed up the markets...investors hate uncertainty.

Yep.. 3:10a is pretty early! Hopefully your stress/insomnia is
    temporary.

Sleep and I have a loving relationship. But, N. Somnia, and L. Armclock
are trying to break us up -- the jealous females!! <G>

atleast the pay period and can be reversed or challenged more easily.

I don't get enough with disability to have a credit card, and I've been through Chapter 13 Bankruptcy before. I don't want to go down that road
    again.

The other cooked half can store in the fridge for a few days. Fresh
yams store well, and are pretty cheap imho.

Well, the yams and sweet potatoes have oxylates, which cause kidney stones. So, anything that may cause such, is avoided.

    Hopefully for healthier groceries. ;)

But, they charge through the nose and out the wazoo for them.

Today, an egg + 1/2 avocado + 1/2 banana takes me through the morning
for 5 hours before I even *think* of anything else to eat.

Not much for avocadoes...but bananas do have potassium. Those pills are
"huge horse pills", and I have to get them cut up to take them, or I could choke.

Cereals are empty carbs. And noone has just the labeled quantity of "1 serving" of that stuff + milk + other add ons.

Never mind the stuff settled during shipping and handling.

An egg + avocado + a couple spoons of peanut butter are a better low
carbs + protein choice than a bowl of cereal. I have about two
servings of unsalted almonds and cashews in the early afternoon - they
are fine sources of natural fat energy for the body.

Peanut butter and chocolate are 2 other "no-no's". Arkansas and Tennessee have more kidney stones than anywhere else...likely due to the limestone in
the water. I'm avoiding sodas as much as possible. I'm just drinking flavored water now...the regular water is too bland for me.
