    Hello Digital Man,

I've been having an odd issue with areafix requests.

First off, is sbbsecho supposed to be logging the "Adding areas for x:yyy/zzz t
../data/areas.bbs" and "Removing areas for x:yyy/zzz from ../data/areas.bbs" f r every single echo on your system even though it wasn't subscribed to or remov d during that areafix request?

Second, I'm getting some odd node numbers in areas.bbs. The last one I have log ed is a link removing an echo. This seems to have changed every linked node num er to 16720:17235/19521.19551 instead. So I have that repeated after the echota
9 times rather than the individual node numbers that were originally there. I elieve it also happens when someone subscribes to an echo as well, as it has ha pened to others in the recent past (I only noticed yesterday and today, but yes erday was a few different links doing things which gave me odd numbers like the one mentioned above after other echotags as well).

If you need my logs or anything else that may be helpful, let me know.

    Regards,
    Nick

hmmm, thanks, I notice that the other day (I just happen to have a good back-up copy, just got what I needed out of it)

I too am experiencing the incorrect addressing issue with areafix. Any addition or deletion request to areafix causes all addresses associated
with that echotag to be changed as Nick reported.

    Okay, should be fixed now.

The version of SBBSecho was relevant, not the version of Synchronet itself. In any case, I was able to tell from your FidoNet control lines that you were using SBBSecho 3.00 revision 3.14.
