• Yearly Reset

From Daryl Stout@HURRICAN/THUNDER to All on Thu Jan 5 18:43:00 2017
I haven't had a chance to play the Sunrise Doors InterBBS competition games yet for January...too much stuff going on outside the BBS.

However, the high scores are normally RESET sometime in January...so, don't be surprised if one day, you logon and see a person with the high score, and its value...and the next day, it says "No One Yet" with a high score of 0.
This is done on a yearly basis, and has been the case ever since my BBS has been part of the competition.

As a side note, The Thunderbolt BBS carries all 24 of the 16-bit doors in
the InterBBS competition...and also has several other Sunrise Doors on the
BBS that are NOT in the competition. Of all the door "categories" on the BBS,
I think the Sunrise Doors has the most in "quantity".

P.S. If you're in the competition, a yearly fee does apply...see the website for details. Also, check the packet status link to make sure your packets are being processed. Note that your configuration file values MATCH what is on
the website (so everyone has an equal chance), or your score data will be rejected.

    Daryl,

The reset should occur around mid-month

    Appreciate the post!

Thanks. I haven't had time to play the games yet, and was debating
about adding some of the InterHome deals over here. But, with being
part time caregiver for my 90 year old Mom during the day (with the
driving, shopping, etc.), then ham radio nets at night, I've had little
time to work with the BBS...let alone play the doors.

    Al,

    Family FIRST!

BBSing is a hobby...although some of us consider it an obsession. <G>

Do you Sysop, take this BBS, to be your lawfully wedded spouse?? LOL

Well, it's in the bedroom, but I'm the one getting screwed. :P

My late wife and Co-Sysop, competed against me in the doorgames,
    including several of your doors.

When I told her that I was ahead of her in the doors, or she saw
the scores first, and saw I was ahead, she said "I guess you don't
    want any tonight". <BG>

She was a great winner, but she sure was a sore loser. :P

    Al,

She was a great winner, but she sure was a sore loser. :P

Women always have the upper hand regardless of what the MACHO thought process thinks!

She had both a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Psychology...and,
I should have known better than to mess with her.

One night, I was being a smart @$$, and I said "My head is so far up my
butt, that I can see my throat!!".

Without missing a beat, she looked at me, grinned wryly, and quipped "No wonder your eyes are brown"!! :P

I wasn't mad at her, because I was asking for it. But, I didn't expect
her to come back with such a zinger.

I had to go back to eating more salted crow and humble pie. :P
