    As a military vehicle, I see the tires to be vulnerable easy

    I always thought the Pinzgauers were awesome. There's a guy near me who has his equipped for Search and Rescue.

    That is really neat! His is set up much like mine, though in winter here in Wisconsin SAR teams tend to use Snowmobiles (snowmachines in Canadian) and UTV/ATV's including tracked ones that are used for trail grooming.

    The paradox of bigger equipment, is that if the rescue vehicle punches in you need either several others to un-stick you, or a bigger rescue rig.
