  • AC issue

    I have a knocking noise when i start my car, and I do suspect its the AC system.

    I'm no mechanic here but idk if it is the AC. You have it on when you start the car? Now, does this noise only occur on cold starts? I'm almost thinking it's sticking valves or something. Is a ticking sound also heard too I wonder. As far as I know with AC components, they are only an issue if you have the system on.

    What did you find?

    A mechanics stethoscope can be rather helpful, provided you are confident poking around a running engine with it.
