Like Amazon, Blue Origin is another shitty company of Jeff Bezos with an abusive toxic culture. Was it an accident that New Shepard looks like a dick?

    Don't hold back now. :)

While I don't share your level of passion against Jeff Bezos and his companies I have been interested to read of the more recent reports surfacing concerning employee concerns about the safety of the New Shepard and those reports of sexism - both not good, not good at all.

If I were Bill Shatner I'd give pause to the idea of flying to space in that hardware in the short term until things become more apparent.

I agree the rocket looks like a giant penis, which probably does not help marketing folk one little bit.

I also laughed at a SpaceX graphic they put up when they recently ran that Inspiration mission. It showed the respective distances from Earth of the various space endeavors. New Shepard was by far the least 'far off' the surface of the planet. The graphic made quite a statement.

What did you think of the Shatner space flight? I had it on from the pre launch and landing. His reaction was priceless, some have said it was an act. idk. Seemed real to me. I hadn't seen a launch or landing before but I was amazed to see the rocket come down and land itself while the passenger compartment landed else where.

I didn't watch it live as it was around 3am my time and only saw some nightly tv news coverage, he did seem overwhelmed... I think from a PR point of view the company did well out of the ticket they gave him :)

I saw William Shatner in an interview, obviously awed and humbled by the experience, trying to describe what it felt like. In mid sentence, Jeff
Bezos interrupts "Hey, who wants Champagne?" (or something like that)

    Real class.

I missed that, but agree with you.

I saw the red shirt meme also and then another today where they photoshopped the Enterprise outside the capsule window with Shatner looking like he had seen a ghost :)

Yeah agreed, Bezos got his money worth off of Shatner. PR stunt? Probably. I think Tesla Musk there has a much better plan here for space flights. Not sure what Virgin Galatic is up to since their last flight was cancelled. This is truly some sort of a race here. The question will be who will make space travel affordable.

It worries me that space appears to no longer be a neutral place for science and exploration etc. I fear future global conflict will quickly start in space as bad actors seek to disrupt comms by quickly taking out services such as GPS and more :(

I just wish they'd make hybrid or electric cars affordable. :)
