• How do I force file desc to take up less space?

From Thraka@21:2/150 to All on Tue Aug 30 15:54:27 2022
I've imported files into a file base, which pulled descriptions from the embedded FILE_ID.DIZ files. However, some of the descriptions were very big, taking up 20+ lines. These seem to show in the file browser. Some files will take up two pages just for the description. I assumed that it would list 5 lines or something then truncate the rest of the description. The help menu lists the ENTER key as displaying extended descriptions, but all it seems to do is move to the next page. I can't seem to find a way to force descriptions to 5 lines and allow ENTER to display more.

    Help?

    Hi,

In Mystic you can define the max amount of lines that will be imported in:
File Base Settings -> Description Lines

If the amount of lines exceeds the page length it should show the listing prompt. There is no need (if even possible) to use display codes in the descriptions.
