How has everyone's luck been now that the sun's starting to work in our
favor? Back in October when 15m opened up for the best part of a week I
was able to make some good DX, and I've been having good luck on both
    20 & 40.

I ran WSPR for a while yesterday on 40/20/10 and got some pretty awesome results, I think 9700 miles was the furthest from here in Arizona.

12/15 have been pretty good the last few times I checked. FT8/FT4 is mainly what I've been checking with, although I'm more partial to PSK and the like.

    Thanks,
    Dean.

I feel I should mention that I am coming from the perspective of
running mainly CW - I thought for sure I had mentioned that! :P

In any case, CW has been doing well and my occasional drifts over to
SSB/AM voice have done well on the upper HF bands as well, mainly
    15/10.

    I've been doing a lot of FT8 with 10m lately. I usually work 20m/40m on FT8.
I don't remember 10m being that great but have had great luck lately in the morning hours.

I wonder if that means Techs will be able to get some SSB HF action now
with that little slice of 10m phone they have allocated to them?

I was a tech till this past February, and while I do like CW, it was
definitely frustrating that the only HF phone I was allowed to work was completely dead.

No problem, I have actually taken the first step and will be getting some CW learning materials shortly. I went with the Gordon West CDs (0-5 WPM) initially and we'll see how it goes.

Looking forward to getting involved with CW finally.

    Thanks,
    Dean.
