    Hey, checking back in with the BBS world. Great to catch up on all ya'll
    lives!

    What new with aLPHA? Heh:

    - Gold Mine Community Game Server is running strong! goldminebbs.com

    - Started working on a "door of doors" er, door, for Linux 32/64 & ARM
    that aggregates Gold Mine, Door Party and BBS Link direct door codes.
    Menu lets you zip through categories and stats... You have to setup all
    the door servers as usual, but having fun with the little extension.

    - Like 1,000,000 other people, I've been playing with Mastodon.
    Federation reminds me a lot of the BBS ecosystem (sort of). I've got a
    server if anyone wants to give it a spin (and it doesn't take you away
    from BBSing! https://8bit.social/home

    - Left my job and joined a startup. Yeah, "in these times." what am I
    doing

    Hey there, nice to see you active in these parts and welcome back. Golly that's a busy list :-)

    I've yet to try/test Mastodon, will probably play with it when I have more time to invest.

    Currently traveling and supporting parents as my mum just moved into a rest home, it's gone mostly smoothly but my Dad is (as to be expected) hit hard by this change... so just staying with him at the moment to help him for the next week or so adjust to a newer normal.

    It's spring here but it keeps raining - bah! :)

    So, Mastodon; am I correct in saying its like a Facebook on top of Matrix-like infrastructure? You can run your own private Mastodon w/ a community of folks who can see all members pages - or join the federation and connect with other Mastodon communities?

    I believe I have a Mastodon PAGE on SDF.ORG, but thats as far as I've l00ked into it.
