    :-O

Stay safe, and try to keep warm!

Autumn is approaching here and so are low temps. Really windy today -- although sunny in the afternoon -- and leaves are dropping rapidly now. I would have liked to see all the nice colors on the trees a lot longer this year...

Currently waiting for a NOS P&S 35 mm film camera (photo is an old hobby of mine). We'll see if there will be anything left to photograph before winter arrives...

    Best regards

We have had below normal temperatures here in the other hemisphere, too.
It is Autumn and we have had a couple of early frosts. They are not
calling for any precip, but it could get could enough to snow a couple of mornings from now.

Today has been an exception as we are forcasted to be at, or slightly above normal for the high. Tomorrow will be 15-20F degrees cooler.

As it is just Spring there, I am guessing you are in what would be the
equal to our early April. We do sometimes get snow that late, but not normally. More likely, if it is frozen precip, to be sleet or hail by then.

I wouldn't mind seeing some days like that here more often. It's fall here, so the weather is getting cooler, albeit slowly (in the past week, we've had some days that are still around 85 degrees Fahrenheit/29 Celsius), which is a little warmer than average here for this time of year.

Where I am (northwest Oregon, USA), we don't get much snow in the winter. It tends to be fairly rainy here throughout the winter and not quite cold enough to freeze - and when it does, we might get some snow or ice overnight but then it might melt in the next day or two. Sometimes we'll have cold enough weather to get snow that stays for a week or so.

That's summer temps for me, anything 20 to 26/28 Celsius is warm, and above that I start to struggle.

We used to get a 'snow day' once or twice a year when I moved to Dunedin in the early 2000s but now we're lucky to see something like a 'snow day' once every 2-5 years I think. The event we just had was a massive dumping / cold blast and something like it had not been seen in 10+ years...

Today, three days later it's sunny and the high is 20 today, whereas middle of the week it was like 5 and a windchill down to -3 :)

    Phew, glad that's passed :)

I'm the same way, I prefer similar temperatures.

I've noticed something similar here. I seem to remember us getting snow more often in the winter here than we do these days. I think the last time we had any significant snow was in Januray or February last year (2021) where we got some snow and freezing temperatures for about a week. That happens here sometimes, and sometimes it only lasts for a day or two. And there was maybe one day this past winter where we got some freezing temperatures, but that was about it.

    What camera did you buy?

I am re-doing our storage space, and had to take everything out of it to
have it paneled and sealed. Found a box full of cameras waiting for film
(and a place to develop film)

I've got a Leica Z2X, an Olympus Stylus, Vivitar Ultra-wide, a couple of
Jazz colors plastic cameras, a couple of TIME 35mm plastic cameras, a couple of no-name plastic 35mm cameras, a Konica rangefinder, Olympus XA and XA2
and a LOMO colorsplash that were left by the wayside by digital. It's time

This time a Canon Sure Shot 65 Zoom Date, to get a relatively short zoom range (and decent optics) paired with a big viewfinder.

    That's nice!

They've begun selling (color) film mailers again here; I think Fujifilm sends everything off to a central lab somewhere in Germany and then return it after a week or two. A little bit pricey but better than nothing. =)

Some nice ones there! I've hade some Olympuses in the past and they had nice optics.

Another "favorite" series where you can get very good Schneider optics rebranded ("Samsung SHD Lens") are some of the Samsung Fino Super cameras. E.g. the Samsung Fino Super 170 has very good image quality throughout the entire zoom range. But it could vary from model to model.
