The power went out this morning at 3:49am.

My Synology NAS went into shutdown mode automatically while I shut
down Proxmox. The BBS is running on a laptop, and continued running
until it ran out of battery - then went into hibernation.

45 minutes later, everything came up clean, with the exception of my
"smart" stove, which can't see the network because it came up first.

That's probably the easiest power outage I've dealt with.

That good, I wish the same for everyone when that sort of things happens, but sadly it often never goes as smoothly as we would all wish.

    That's good! =)

Waiting for a planned one here sometime next week -- they'll be shutting off mains while installing EV chargers in the garage. I'll be shutting down things manually before going to work and will power it all up again when home again...

    Best regards

I had a kitchen remodel done last winter; they pulled up some
floorboards to re-route gas lines. The kitchen is just inside where
    the carport is.

I asked them to pull electrical wiring for 208v in the carport and
leave it at the circuit panel and in a box at the carport. If I ever
get an electric car, it'll be simple to add a charging port.

    That's nice!

They started with a couple of chargers here one or two years ago, but have now done conrete drilling and cable routing in the entire garage. I'm actually surprised how fast that part went.

    Best regards

My office is getting additional chargers installed in front of our
building. They trenched on their property, then ran into a permit
issue. My office is surrounded by a trench covered in plywood and
plastic fencing for the near future. Luckily, we're closed for Covid
and I'm the only one going in regularly.
