• File Database on BBS

From Deyssman@21:1/127 to All on Thu Apr 21 07:40:17 2022

    Greetings All,
I have a question regarding the file database within my Mystic BBS.
How would I go about starting over with it, I lost a Hard Drive that was dedicated to the storage of files. Is there a index file(s) or other files
that I need to delete, to rebuild and re-freshin the files shown with the
files that are listed within the BBS.

Additionally is there any file managers that would make it easier to add
files, instead of uploading new files to the bbs instead of uploading from
the BBS side of things. That would make it easier to type in file
descriptions if the files are missing file id.diz.
It would be nice to incorporate a global tag or to insert the snippet of information with my own brand such as "downloaded from Capital Station BBS"

Thanks folks for all of your replies,
    Gregory

I'm still fairly new to the Mystic Ecosystem but I do remember seeing a tool in mutil that offers the ability to clean up file bases and you can choose how it handles that in the ini file. I do know you can put the files in the folders and do a mass upload but not sure how it would handle the descriptions. Might be a little help. There are some guides from the Mystic Guy on your tube and I do remember one of the videos talking about this just not which one.

    Wish I could help more
