    Hello The Millionaire!

On 30 Mar 2022, The Millionaire said the following...
Sorry for all the posts that I have created.

    No need to apologize!

Please keep on posting and people will chime in from time to time (me included, although I haven't had much time for just about anything here lately)!

P.S. I can tell from some of the threads in which I have been involved that you are extremely knowledgeable in certain areas -- which I personally appreciate and value a lot! The different areas of knowledge among the members of this network is a great asset in many ways. It's just a matter of discovering the hidden gems... D.S.

    Best regards

    Hey, just to clarify something...

It seems that it's perfectly OK for *YOU* to tell 'TM' what he should
and shouldn't be posting, but *NOT* OK for others to do so.

    Is that about right?

You...*do* know how sarcasm works, right? (o_O)

This was pure satire, and more poking of the bear. I wasn't actually telling TM that I was annoyed, or that he should stop posting apologies. Were you born without a functional sense of humour? Because that would explain a lot...

And yet...I can get wry smile and a chuckle out of you sometimes, so it can't be *completely* non-functional...probably just under-used...

Really, though, I think Spectre put it right: maybe bring the
    torrent down to a trickle.

And this wasn't me telling TM what to (or not to) post, either. At most, it's a suggestion, but really it was just a comment on another's suggestion. Wildly different than some of the posts made by those we are forced to defend TM against.

You don't know TM very well, which is understandable since you're new to
these parts... Do you think *HE* will read your message as sarcasm or
satire? I guarantee you he won't. You *WERE* actually telling him to
stop posting apologies, right there above, and that is how he will
process it. You also admit right there to "poking the bear", which is
in direct contradiction to some recent posts of yours asking everyone to
"let this go". You can't deny or backpeddle out of what you've said.

And yet...I can get wry smile and a chuckle out of you sometimes,
so it can't be *completely* non-functional...probably just
    under-used...

I have an excellent sense of humor. None of what you've said falls into
    that category.

Really, though, I think Spectre put it right: maybe bring the
    torrent down to a trickle.

And this wasn't me telling TM what to (or not to) post, either.

More word-smithing to try and deflect from your behavior, which is
nothing but two-faced and hypocritical. It's very obvious to anyone
reading this. If any of your little buddies had any balls, they'd chime
in and agree with me. Oh, and I love your claim of "we are forced to
defend TM against..." Hahahaha, what a joke.

You're free to assume that. I prefer it when people underestimate me.

Do you think *HE* will read your message as sarcasm or satire? I Ga> guarantee you he won't.

I have actually interacted directly with The Millionaire more than once. I feel like he would understand the rather obvious humour. I was quite correct when I assumed you'd get all upset about it, after all. (o_O)

You *WERE* actually telling him to stop posting apologies, right there above, and that is how he will process it.

No, I wasn't. I was making a sarcastic satire of some other people's comments, and it was, again, pretty obvious.

You also admit right there to "poking the bear", which is
in direct contradiction to some recent posts of yours asking everyone to "let this go". You can't deny or backpeddle out of what you've said.

Not asking everyone, just you. You're the only one who hasn't. I don't see Exodus raising a big stink right now...

I haven't denied anything. My pedals only move me forward, because I don't peddle any bull feces. (o_-)

Oddly, the post in Music didn't get here, but the one in Space did. Oh
    well, no real harm. ;)

I am still checking to see what he might have posted from CCO yesterday.
I am a little miffed he was even able to log on and create an account as
the name he used -- Pengo -- is in the twitlist.cfg file.

Hopefully, that at least kept his posts from going out but I shall soon
    see.

OK looks like the only message he was able to post (at least in any areas I read here) was the new user msg to sysop. The twitlist appears to have done its jobs.

Ahhh OK, don't read that echo so I didn't see it.

I don't either, but I saw in the logs this "new" person posted, and I was like IN THAT ECHO? So I went and saw.

    Hi Exodus,

On Sunday April 14 2024, Exodus said to Vorlon:

Thanks... IP now in firewall... Not that my actual bbs auto exports, as
that's still a manual thing (Due to the way it's setup)....

He seams to be getting this crap out via synco system's... Wondering if most
of them are on autopilot? OR new users can post to echo's by default?

It is mostly synchro systems but not only. I suspect that is because
synchro and mystic are most popular more than anything. About the same
time he hit apam, he also got some out from a non-intel system that is
not running either of the above.

At first I thought maybe he had a script that worked with synchro prompts
    but no longer think that.

he has responded before when we trash talked him.. so it may well be fully manual

Now that you mention it, I do remember interacting with him/her/it after
the first time they posted, and they did respond. The response was odd
    but it was a response.

Speaking of odd responses, someone did have an AI bot running on Dovenet
for a while that would attempt to answer questions about Synchronet, and sometimes it responded rather oddly. You could also converse with it, so
    there is that. ;)
