Yup I done gone and fallen off the Radar for a while now. The shine has
kinda worn off this for me for the time being. I'll leave the BBS up and
doing its thing, but I barely look in once a week or so at the moment.

For those there Audiophiles... you know a real Audiophile isn't interested in them fangled CD's with their 1bit D/A converters... or one of those there
Reel to Reel tapes or the miniature version thereof in the fancy plastic
case, a real Audiophile is still using wax cylinders and just maybe one of
    them shellac Frisbees.

    All the best,

    Spec

I have too although it's not because the shine has worn off it's just because I have been busy IRL.

Even so I still check the BBS regularly, once or twice a day.

I was wondering if you still have your quake3 server running?

A run around the arena would be good right about now.

Good question.. and the short answer is, dunno..having a quick look, that'd
be a negative, but its not hard to put back. I've had a box swap since then, hadn't even thought about it :)

Short answer is no, and I'll have to consider my options. I can't directly install the old point release on a 64bit OS, I must've still had a 32bit install last time I ran it.

Leaves me one of two options, reinstall a 32bit system on something or
wrestle ioquake3 to a standstill. The former is probably easier so long as I can find a box. The latter well, it'll probably be more useful going
    forward.

Appearances can be deceiving :/ Despite looking good, I'm finding the system not answering incomings very well at the moment. It goes to sleep. I thought
I had that under control after I limited incomings to 1 per IP address concurrent. Not sure what the current cause is. On the other hand FrontDoor continues to soldier on swimmingly.

Do you know what the definition of an Audiophile is?

Someone who listens to the equipment instead of the music.

It's all about the music although the equipment is an important part.

I am an audiophile, and I have to say, this is a pretty accurate statement. I mean, after the equipment is set up just so, it's all about the music. But there are times when I simply cannot enjoy the music because the equipment
    just isn't up to snuff.

I'm not an audiophile, mostly becuase of physical space, money, and laziness. But I *do* appreciate the excessive featuring of vacuum tubes.

Nice to see you're still about, even if other things are taking your time more at the moment :) I can understand interests waxing and waning, happens to us all I think. At least it's something you/we can check in on as/when we want to or have time to.

Hope you're doing OK and waving hello from over the ditch.
