I just recieved this file here in the WINPOINT area, thank you.

Do you have an fsxNet point, are you able to hatch these files yourself in fsxNet?

If you like I could hatch these files in fsxNet for you. I could also provide you with a point in fsxNet so you can hatch these files yourself.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance with that.

I am not sure of netmail links since there have been recent changes but a direct netmail should work, or email me at agianson[at]gmail[dot]com if you would like to discuss any of that.

I have a point, but I am not sure if my uplink carries the file areas and allows me to hatch. Still have to clarify this. Meanwhile, it would be great if You can do this :)

    Regards,
    Tim

Hold on, I just tried to hatch myself. Please check, if that one made it :)

This is the best option. If you don't mind me asking what file did you hatch (I assume WP_407.ZIP but assuming is bad), what file area did you hatch it into and what is you fsxNet address and what node did you send the file too?

Please check, if that one made it :)

I will do that, I will talk to Paul about this (he is travelling now but will be back at his computer soon). If I have the above details we can track the progress this hatch has made and make adjustments where/if needed to get the file to connected nodes.

    I'll be in touch.

This sounds interesting and if it works the way I think it works, I'm assuming that it could be used in conjunction with "File -> Options -> Filters" to set up *local* message areas. Would my assumption be correct? ;)

    ;)

You are aware that you can (since decades) create "internal" Areas and drag/drop messages (use Ctrl Modifier for copy) ?

This new feature in particular enables the user to just delete a dead uplink while keeping the messages. Before, WP essentially enforeced the deletion of the linked areas.

    Tim

Yes, I was aware of that thanks but it got me wondering what the purpose
    of this new feature was.

    Ah, so that's the difference.
