    Hallo Al,

am 13.02.22 um 0:17:53 schriebst Du in der Area NETMAIL
an Tim Schattkowsky eine Mail zum Thema "Winpoint usage".

I got Winpoint running, but have a couple of questions. First off, when entering message text, ech character I type has a space after it, no matter which font I select/ I can't see an option that would be causing this.

This happens when the editor is using a non-monospaced font. Fonts that work are
(among others) in particular "Lucida Console" and "Courier New". Still, WP should default to "Lucida Console" ...

Second, even after using Google Translate to read the menus on the echomailscreen, I don't see how to request an echo.

Besides the classic way (writing to AreaFix), you may use the inbuilt Echo Area Manager. However, that one is (almost the last place in the application that is)
still german in your version. Still, I already localized that one, so in the next release the area manager is available in english as well and also has some minor improvements.

    Bis denne ...

I've been using "Courier New",12 in WinPoint for a very long time and it looks quite nice.

I note that you said "(almost the last place in the application that is").
It would be nice if the "New Uplink Wizard" were localised too :)

    Martin
