    Got it, thanks.

The setup utility updated my existing 375.0 installation without any problems whatsoever. After doing a *quick* tour of the new 382.0 installation, I see quite a number of small changes here and there which make such a big difference to the usability of the software. I appreciate all the time, effort and hard work that must have gone into this and all I can say is, thank you very much for a job well done!

    Regards,
    Martin

Thanks for noticing. I really try to improve the "everyday experience" whenever I come across something I don't like. Actually given the age of the software and the fact that I left it half complete, I come across a lot of things. However, I think there has been significant progress recently and I will try to fix at least all of the important points on my list which includes support for full localization, which I keep adding incrementally as I come across things.

Oh yes, absolutely and I would go so far as to say, that in its current state, it's quite safe to use on a daily basis by anyone who cares to do so.

and I will try to fix at least all of the important points on my list which includes support for full localization, which I keep adding incrementally as I come across things.

Excellent, keep up the good work :)

I think there is something broken in this version. The time field of the message in the pkt file contained this, when it arrived here directly from Carlos:

    "09 ene. 22 09:43:37"

This probably confused some tossers along the way, because through another route I got this in my log for this message:

    10:53:48.582 Pkt info: HPT 1.9, Type 2+, 895, 2022-01-09 10:53:01, Pwd, Sec 10:53:48.582 Error in pkt date: 00 00 00:00:00

This confused my tosser so bad it ended up in my netmail, with the header fields mangled up, and no body text...

    Bye, Wilfred.

Hmm.. it should be "09 Jan 22 ..."

"ene." (enero) is "Jan" (January) in Spanish, so it seems it gets the string from the system locale...

I had detected some issues with dates and intented to the report after a bit of research... but you already found it ;-)

I have received other reports of bad netmails like that, from Angel and Stas.

Yes, one bad "netmail" at 2:221/1 from your system too..

The english version of WP seems to work fine.

The installer lets you select Spanish but once installed it's mostly in English (some texts still in German). I don't remember if I had the previous beta 5 version in Spanish or English.

Anyway, Tim has been really quick fixing this issue.

All that comes in english can be translated by anybody editing the lang_Espanol file. I by default provide an english translation and copy anything new also over to the spanish language file (still in english).

I have selected Spanish in Options and I see it's mostly translated. Sorry again I didn't realize (I think I read some time ago that it was only going to be available in English)

This spanisch translation exists at least since 2007 ;)

Yes, even since 2006, by Albano de Manuel.

But maybe you want to add to it in places where the translation currently shows only english.

I'll ask Albano (who is still around, and using WinPoint) if he still wants and has the time to complete it. If not, I'll try to do.

I think with the upcoming release, 95% of all essential stuff should be localizable with the area manager and the file request manager probably being the most notable exceptions. Both are however "optional" in the sense that you dont really need them to operate a point because they are only a convenient frontend for the respective netmails. Also, I think
they maybe quite usable even without a proper transloation.

True... Maybe not for the general public, but for returnees it should not be difficult.

Finally, I still have the plan to enable localization for these soon.

    Great.
