I have another feature request, just because it's still valid today, to some extent..

Right now, I have an autosig on my own BBS, and I have FidoNet, and most FidoNet (if not all) require real names. However my BBS, and most
people's BBS, has nickname/handles as primary for message posting and such. As such I imagine most people that setup an autosig account for
that making their autosig in relation to their handle.

It would be cool if you could setup an autosig for alias and real name differently so that when you posted on a message base that Real Names are flagged on it would use that autosig, rather than the default one used
    for handles.

Secondary to that, and still also desired, is the ability, in the message editor itself, to specifically turn on/off the autosig for that specific posting. So I could simply just turn it off if I don't want to use it, useful for netmails too.

From what I understand, the Fidonet echos that require real names only require that on the message header. If a poster wants to add a sig that incorporates their alias, then there's no harm in that. So, basically, one sig should be good for both kinds of areas, even if the sig uses the alias, and not the real name.

i kinda like the two sigs thing but i see no problem with the sig signing the handle on real names areas with the real name being the one used in the header... for one thing, that gives folks both sides of the persona so that if they later read a post from "jack sprat" they have a real name they can associate with it... it alleviates confusion...

most of them allow for the signature to contain the poster's real name if the system they are posting from cannot put their real name in the header...

    agreed...

aside: did you respond to my netmail about my password on your system? i saw where you posted in another topic that you received it but i haven't seen any arrival of your response on any of the systems running here... i have to dig
to figure out which system i wrote that initial netmail from :/

Yes, I had responded to it just before I posted that note about the netmail quirkyness.

This is already on the TODO list.

This could be done with MPL but i'll add it to the TODO list.

Makes me think that there's a break in the chain somewhere. Do you have an email? I can send you the password that way.

Honestly? I can't tell. I'm not even sure it did an export like it says:
    From my mailscan log:

    + Sep 05 14:30:01 Process: Exporting EchoMail
    - Sep 05 14:30:02 1 msgs from [FidoNet] Netmail
    + Sep 05 14:30:03 Results: 0 echo 0 net

Shouldn't it say that there was 1 net for the results? Sending original netmails seems to work. I can receive netmails, but when I reply to them,
they seem to fail. At least that's the case in this one instance.

The message was addressed to 1:3634/12, if that helps.
