    A search is underway for the grandmother of 2-year-old Lyfe
    Flores, who died April 4 after he was scalded in bath water,
    Haltom City police said Wednesday.

    The boy wasn’t taken to get medical help for six days after the
    scalding, authorities said.

    An arrest warrant has been issued for Patricia Flores, 43, of
    Haltom City, who authorities believe is in San Antonio.

    “We don’t know when she left the city,” Haltom City police Cpl.
    Ray Beshirs said.

    No ruling has been issued by the Dallas County medical
    examiner’s office on Lyfe’s death, but authorities believe he
    died as a result of scalding.

    “It was six days before she sought treatment for him,” Beshirs
    said.

    The warrant charges Patricia Flores with injury to a child
    serious bodily/omission.
